Prof Padayachy received his FCS (Neurosurgery) with distinction, awarded the Roland Krynauw medal. He completed his MMed and PhD from the University of Cape Town and following on this work, was awarded the prestigious Hamilton Naki Scholarship, leading to a post-doctoral clinical fellowship at the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences, University of Oxford.
He is a leading expert in minimally invasive surgical techniques and the advanced use of adjunctive techniques to optimize outcomes from neurosurgical procedures, especially in brain tumour surgery.
Prof Padayachy is currently a full clinical Professor and Head of the Department of Neurosurgery, University of Pretoria and Chief Specialist and Pediatric Neurosurgeon at Steve Biko Academic Hospital, Pretoria.
Now at Mediclinic Sandton, Prof Padayachy’s vast knowledge and experience is available to patients in Johannesburg’s northern suburbs and beyond.
